5 Year Plan for the Super Eagles
This is just a brief outline of the goals I hope to achieve with the boys over the next 5 years. A More specific outline of the 2008 Outdoor season will be presented shortly.
2008 Outdoor Season: U10
- Finish Top 3 in LDYSL League Play -- ACHIEVED
- Semi-Finals of Challenge Cup -- ACHIEVED
- Gain experience and exposure playing full-field -- ACHIEVED
- Gain experience and exposure playing against older, quicker and more physical opposition -- ACHIEVED
- Understand formations, set plays, positioning -- ACHIEVED
- Show well in the Toronto Cup Tournament -- ACHIEVED
- Knockout round of DPS Mini Soccer Challenge -- Tournament Cancelled, but we would've won!!
- Many Many Many teambuilders, build for the future -- ACHIEVED
2008/9 Indoor Season: U10
- Enter team in LDYSL U12 Indoor -- ACHIEVED
- U12 Team to be competitive in their league and cup -- ACHIEVED
- Practice 20 times over the course of the season (exhibitions + practices) -- ACHIEVED
- Provide the option for London Legion -- ACHIEVED
2009 Outdoor Season: U11
- Participate in LDYSL Premier L5 - ACHIEVED
- Finish Top 3 - ACHIEVED
- Promotion to WOYSL L4 - ACHIEVED
- Semi-Finals of Challenge Cup
- Play possession and passing soccer, not just play to win - ACHIEVED
- Play tournaments in age group U12 - ACHIEVED
- Continue to gain exposure and experience - ACHIEVED
- Fund-raise for 2010 - ACHIEVED
- Practice to Game Ratio 3:1 - ACHIEVED
2009/2010 Indoor Season: U12
- Enter Two Teams in Indoor: U14, U13
- Both teams to work hard, play physical and possession soccer
- Keep rosters small to provide maximum amount of playing time
- U14 team will participate in Ontario Indoor Cup U13
- Practice x1-2/week
- Continue with different forms of cross-training: Yoga, Ju-Jitsu, Track Practice
2010 Outdoor Season: U12
- Play in L4 or WOYSL
- Gain promotion to L3 WOYSL
- Finish Top three in L4
- Play Ontario Cup
- Attend Gothia Cup 2010 U12, July 18-24 in Gothenburg, Sweden
- Attain ranking of top 20 in the Terra Power Rankings
- Have 5+ players make the district program
- Practice to Game Ratio 3:1
2010/2011 Indoor Season: U13
- Enter TwoTeams in Indoor: U15, U14
- Keep rosters small to provide maximum amount of playing time
- Competitive in Each Division
- Enter Ontario Cup for U13 Age-Group
- Practice 2/week
- Continue with cross-training
2011 Outdoor Season: U13
- Attend Dallas Cup U13
- Compete Well in L3
- Finish Top 2
- Gain promotion to OYSL for U14 through finishing first in league or promotion playoffs
- Play in Ontario Cup U13
- Attain Top 15 in the Terra Power Rankings
- Have players show well at Provincial Tryouts
- Practice to Game Ratio 4:1
2011/12 Indoor Season: U14
- Enter teams in U17, U16 in the LDYSL Indoor
- Train x2-3/week
- Play 2-3 Tournaments (Buffalo, Michigan, Toronto, etc)
- Ontario Indoor Cup U14
- Continue with Cross-Training
2012 Outdoor Season: U14
- Play in OYSL U14
- Compete Well against best opposition in the Province
- Play in Ontario Cup U14
- Attain Top 10 in the Terra Power Rankings
- Practice to Game Ratio 4:1
